WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP GET ME?

  • UACTT Annual Summer Conference: Access to our yearly UACTT Summer Conference where we have opportunities for workshops with other professionals in our field, networking, viewing productions, and much more!

  • Networking: UACTT connects Utah theatre teachers in the classroom, on the stage, and shares a collective experience with others. Through networking, members access important information regarding competitions, scholarship opportunities, conferences, professional development, etc. UACTT connects members to other schools' resources for sets, costumes, sound and lighting equipment, props, etc.

  • Social Media Sites: Access to our UACTT Facebook Group and Instagram pages are available to all members. These sites are used daily by our members for help with current productions, sharing of props/costumes/set pieces, help with students/parents, and anything else you may deal with on a daily basis as a Theatre Teacher!

  • Resources: 

    • Access to our Website gives members lesson plans, current information on teacher training, professional development, conferences, and UHSAA rules/regulations.

  • Newsletter: Access to our Newsletter that keeps you in the look with updates on members, new resources, and information about all things UACTT

  • New Teacher Mentorship: Our mentoring program is dedicated to helping new theatre teachers succeed during the first five years of their careers.  Mentorship helps members find, connect, and share experiences with others throughout the state of Utah. 

  • Grants: UACTT provides grants for individuals pursuing professional development opportunities. Through an application, members receive additional funding for themselves, their classrooms, and theatre programs. Grants may include mini-grants, membership scholarships, as well as PDI, and conference scholarships.

  • Professional Development Intensive (PDI): UACTT offers a wide variety of specialized PDI training through workshops, online offerings, and advanced professional learning to help theatre teachers improve their professional knowledge, competence, skill, and effectiveness. 

  • Advocacy: The purpose of UACTT is to raise awareness of theatre education's power to stimulate innovation and creativity among teachers, students, and the arts community. We also supply adaptable documents and fact sheets and resources to support your individual needs. A proactive, well-organized effort to build support for what you do can ensure that a strong and articulate community of advocates is ready to speak up on your behalf when a crisis arises.
